This summarises the history of LM IT Services AG. To mark their 30th anniversary, founders Marc Liepe and Manuel Mummert share personal insights into the company's beginnings, challenges and successes in a video interview.
Together through the challenges
It all began in the early 90s during their studies. Marc and Manuel, who were still self-employed at the time, decided in a student group: "Why not start a company?" What started out as a small idea became LM IT Services AG. The vision was clear: to offer IT services with real added value for customers. Looking back, both founders emphasise that the path was not always easy. Projects often seemed "too big" for a company the size of LM. But the team overcame every challenge. The key? Cohesion and trust in the employees' abilities. "We always dared to do something and delivered," emphasises Manuel Mummert.
The DNA of LM IT: team and innovation
What makes LM IT unique? According to Manuel and Marc, it's the people and the culture. The employees are the heart of the company. Trust, responsibility and the willingness to try new things characterise LM IT's DNA. Particularly important: "We have confidence in our employees and give them the space to develop," says Marc Liepe. The personal anecdotes are a highlight of the interview. The founding period was characterised by a love of experimentation and courage. "We were not afraid of anything, not even unusual company parties," Marc recalls with a laugh. These experiences strengthened the team spirit and characterise the corporate culture to this day.
A success story that continues
What can LM IT expect in the coming years? The founders are unanimous: the company is constantly reinventing itself. The technical possibilities will continue to develop and LM IT will continue to shine with innovations in the future. The focus will remain on profitable projects, customer satisfaction and a strong team culture. 30 years of LM IT is more than just a number. It is a story of vision, courage and a strong team. Marc Liepe and Manuel Mummert look to the future with confidence and are convinced: "With our great team and the corporate culture we live by, LM IT will continue to shape the coming decades successfully."
