Visibility does not arise by chance
From 16 to 190 points in just one year - that sounds like a huge leap. For Vivien, that was exactly the reality: she is the climber of the year in the Corp. Influencer programme of LM IT Service AG. But she is not alone. Since 2024, LM has been providing all employees with targeted support to increase their visibility on social media. We give them the two most important resources for this: time and training. The focus is on LinkedIn, the central platform for B2B communication.

The programme is having an impact: 90 % of participants have significantly increased their score over the past year. For programme manager Gunnar Kesebom-Knudsen, who developed the score, this is clear evidence that the initiative is motivating colleagues who have hardly dealt with the topic before. „It's not about monetary rewards, but about motivation, support and appreciation,“ says Gunnar. „And the results speak for themselves.“ At the top of the ranking this year is Michael Deters. His score has more than doubled from 233 to 691 points within twelve months. Christin Beckschulte, who improved from fifth to second place, and Marija Stambolieva in third place also made significant gains in the past year.

The situation is even more extreme for our „Rising Star of the Year“ Vivien Schmandt. Her score exploded from a barely existent 16 to 190 points and increased tenfold within a year. Gunnar believes that the company's chosen path has been vindicated, as it has obviously motivated colleagues to engage with the topic of social who had not done so before. Particularly striking: this year, four members of the Management Board are among the top 21, a clear indication of the growing importance of the programme in the company. In 2024, Management Board member Antje Henneke was still alone with this title.

The programme will continue at LM in the coming year. It is important to the programme manager that everything is based on intrinsic motivation. „At LM, there is no monetary remuneration for the in-house influencers. There is time, motivation, support and ... perhaps most importantly, appreciation. That's what we want to achieve with the trophy presentation and communication.“ The past 12 months are always assessed - so the race starts all over again today. Nobody can rest on their laurels. The hunt for Michael Deters is officially on.
